The Heart Behind our Wines
Black Goat Winery began in 2015, born from the friendship of two old Italian friends who shared fond memories of making wine as children. Inspired by those roots, they set out to craft high-quality, old-world style wines for their families. Sourcing grapes from Prosser, Washington and Redwood Valley,California, they brought the fruit back to Terrebonne, Oregon, where—together with the help of friends and family—they made wine the
traditional way: by hand, with heart.
By 2017, growing interest and support led to the official founding of Black Goat Winery. What started as a passion project soon found its way into local shops, restaurants, and homes throughout Central Oregon.
In 2024, the winery entered a new chapter. Tony stepped away to explore other ventures, and Roberta, Italo’s wife, joined as a partner—bringing fresh energy and new ideas to the business. We’re excited about what the future holds.
From our family to yours, we hope you enjoy our wines as much as we love making them.

THE ART OF
WINEMAKING
Rooted in generations of family tradition, Black Goat Wines capture the soul of Italian winemaking with a distinctly Pacific Northwest touch. Each vintage begins with hand-selected grapes sourced from small, sustainable farms throughout the Region. Once harvested, the fruit is brought back to our property in Terrebonne, Oregon, where it's carefully sorted by hand to ensure only the highest-quality grapes make it into our wine.
As a small, two-person operation, we craft each batch with intention and care. Our Wines are produced in limited quantities, free from additives, and aged in Medium-toast oak barrels — resulting in a pure, unfiltered expression of the grape with a naturally elegant finish. Honesty and simplicity are at the heart of everything we do. Our winemaking Philosophy is straightforward: authentic, minimal-intervention wines that speak for themselves.
